Llama nips in to the salon!

This afternoon we had a visit from the barmy llama man and of the llamas, Funny really he reminded me of some one I know! Hmmmm

INTRODUCING CLOUD NINE.

Cloud nine is brought to you by a new company, one that’s been created by the original founders and inventors of the GHD iron.

In the three years since they walked away from the brand that changed the face of the hairdressing industry, they have become increasingly disappointed in the way you the customer has been forgotten in the drive for commercial gain.

PUTTING YOU IN COMPLETE CONTROL.
“When we asked clients what kind of styling iron the wanted they told us that flexibility was vital – they wonted to be individual, to stand out from the crowd. They don’t wont to wear the same look every day, they want a natural look and they DON’T want the damage they associate with searing heat”

“When we looked at the irons on the market, we discovered that none of them had moved with the times. We also saw thousands of wannabe irons, all promising much but delivering little!”

Cloud Nine has succeeded where the market leader had failed. They have developed an iron that’s evolved, and will continue to develop as the times change. One that’s introducing new innovative technology designed to give the market what it wants.

Cloud Nine is about individuality, creativity, natural finish, shine and flexibility.

All the Cloud Nine Styling Irons and the brand new ground braking TheO are exclusively available to buy in the salon.

Simple way of transforming your look

Bored with your hair? If you're happy with your cut and colour, but fancy a change, then the simple way of transforming your look is moving your parting. By changing the side of the parting, or creating a central strip rather than a low side part, hair will take on a totally new shape. Deep side partings are a strong look that nod towards masculinity, but with a sexy attitude as well. It helps you make a strong statement, without having to over-do your hair, A centre parting can look sexy and sensual - as seen at Versace. While a side parting, with the hair skimming over one eye a la Bottega Venetta, can be feminine and peek-a-boo sexy.

TheO Available to purchase from the salon NOW!

With TheO, Cloud Nine has reinvented the idea of the styling roller. From the time it takes to heat a roller up, to the way you apply them. Here's how you'll benefit.

Speed.
There's never been a faster heating process - simply pop a roller in the pod and it'll be ready to use in less than four seconds.
Ease.
As the rollers heat from the core out, they're hot in the hair, not in the hand, so you can work without the worry of discomfort.

Lightweight.
We've incorporated the very latest soft grip technology into the design, which means you don't have to use pins to hold our rollers in place. And as the rollers are incredibly lightweight, they won't drop.
Flexible.
TheO pod works with several sizes of rollers, including our extra large 60mm option, so you can create every style from the beautifully natural to utterly outrageous.

Control.
By heating just one roller at a time, you benefit from heat on demand, rather than having to heat numerous rollers at once, giving you greater creative control over where to take the individual style next.

Eco-friendly.
TheO uses seven times less power than traditional heated rollers - so you're not only doing your bit for style, you're helping out the planet too.

Eva Mendes latest film

Eva Mendes looked prim and pretty at the New York premiere of her latest film, The Other Guys. Her glossy, girly ponytail was a perfect match for the elegant dove grey prom dress, creating a ladylike red carpet look - totally on trend for next season's feminine elegance.

Eva's perfect ponytail has a definite hint of the pristine styles debuted at Louis Vuitton earlier this year.

New York Fashion Week kicks off in style

The good, bad and not-so-ugly turned up at the amfAR Annual New York Gala to kick off Fashion Week. With streamlined dresses and mainly smooth tresses, Lady GaGa stole the show with her white Ice Queen impression. Not one to shy away from standing out from the crowd, Lady opted for a snow white wig and looked like she had been attacked by barnacles.

However, Margherita Missoni stole the show with her beautiful 1920s-inspired updo - one of my favourite looks - dressed with a simple headband decorated with brooches. A head-turning style that is perfect for bad hair days and hiding hideous roots. Her bright red lips brought her look bang up-to-date.

Supermodel Kristen McMenamy has been making headlines this week

Supermodel Kristen McMenamy has been making headlines this week, simply by daring to bare her natural grey hair on the catwalk.
The 45-year-old American model decided to stop colouring her naturally silver hair six years ago, stating: "'You can get older and still be rock 'n' roll. I thought all that grey hair would make a beautiful picture."
And it sounds like she's not the only one who thinks that - going grey has certainly not prevented Kristen landing high profile work. The model has appeared in Vogue and Dazed and Confused this month, as well as walking for Calvin Klein last season during New York Fashion Week.
Perhaps Kristen's silvery locks were also partly responsible for the shades of grey we've seen on superstar blogger Tavi, fashion fan Pixie Geldof, and even Lady Gaga!
